Beautiful Pain is a katana that combines brutal function with refined aesthetics. It is forged for those who appreciate the contrast between beauty and uncompromising sharpness, a sword where every detail bears the traces of traditional craftsmanship and controlled perfection.
Blade
The blade is forged from T10 high carbon steel and has undergone traditional clay hardening , resulting in a genuine, handmade hitatsura hamon . This irregular and vibrant hardening pattern extends across large areas of the blade and testifies to advanced heat treatment and high forging expertise. Each blade is unique in its expression and cannot be reproduced exactly.
After hardening, the blade has been hand-ground in several stages to highlight both the hamon and the natural structure of the steel. The result is a blade with a clear visual depth effect and an excellent balance.
Saya
The saya is elegantly lacquered in a deep black tone with a glitter effect and subtle luster and is fitted with horn inlays on the koiguchi, kurigata and kojiri , which not only enhances durability but also adds a distinct premium feel. The combination of black saya and dark blue sageo creates a sober and powerful overall impression.
Tsuka
The handle is wrapped in blue ito with yellow accents over genuine stingray leather (samegawa), providing both a secure grip and visual contrast. The tsuba and other fittings are made of copper , with detailed decoration that ties together the aesthetic theme of the sword.
Beautiful Pain is not a mass-produced sword, it is an expression of tradition, discipline and craftsmanship, intended for collectors and enthusiasts who seek something out of the ordinary.
