Black Water Katana has a dark, fluid expression inspired by moving water. The combination of a vibrant hamon, decorative stone pattern and a deeply lacquered saya with a gold-speckled expression gives the sword a distinct identity.
Blade
The blade is forged from T10 high-carbon steel with a hardness of around 60 HRC.
Along the edge runs a genuine water "splash" pattern hamon , produced by clay hardening. The hamon line is soft with natural variations that make each blade unique.
Along the back side (mune) is a stone pattern , a decorative surface finish created by forging and grinding. Stone pattern is a visual element and should not be confused with hamon or heat treatment.
Tsuba + Tsuka
The tsuba is made of metal alloy with a stylized wave motif that reinforces the sword's water-inspired theme. The fittings are also made of metal alloy and have a discreet dark finish that harmonizes with the overall look.
The handle (tsuka) is wrapped with black ito over genuine stingray leather , in a traditional diamond pattern. The construction is stable and well-balanced for a secure grip.
Saya
Sayan is made of lacquered wood with a deep black finish and gold speckled pattern , which gives an impression of movement and depth, like light reflections in dark water.
Sageo is black and tied in a classic style, adapted to the sayan's color and expression.
