The Blue Sky is a katana that combines technical difficulty with aesthetic balance. The blade is forged from T10 high carbon steel and has undergone hand-made clay hardening in the hitatsura style , one of the most demanding hamon shapes to achieve. The result is a vibrant, irregular hardening pattern that extends across most of the blade and testifies to true craftsmanship, precision and control in the heat treatment.
The blade is also hand-ground in several stages and polished to clearly highlight both the structure of the steel and the complex hamon. Each specimen thus has its own expression, no two blades are exactly alike.
Saya
The saya is partially wrapped in stingray skin around the sageo section, providing both visual contrast and a distinct premium look. The tsuka is wrapped with blue ito over genuine samegawa and is complemented by copper fittings and tsuba , while the habaki is made of brass for a stable fit and classic finish.
Blue Sky is a sword for collectors who appreciate advanced forging techniques, subtle aesthetics and genuine Japanese-inspired craftsmanship.
