Chained Widow Katana

Let your gaze sweep over the Chained Widow. A katana where traditional forging meets modern aesthetics. This katana brings to mind a swirling storm of smoke and silk, caught in the blade's hamon and scabbard that resemble threads of wind against a moving sky.

Leaves and crafts:
The blade is forged from T10 carbon steel with visible hamon, a result of differential hardening that gives the blade both strength and character. The blade is hand-polished with precision in several stages, which creates a soft reflection along the edge and enhances the exclusive expression of the sword. The sword is full tang, the blade runs through the entire handle, which provides superior balance and strength.

Handle (Tsuka):
Wrapped with traditional black cotton over genuine stingray, providing a secure grip, both functional and visually appealing. The construction is classic, with two mekugi (bamboo sticks) holding the blade securely in place.

Scabbard (Saya):
A very unique lacquer finish, called "cloud silk", with a cloud-inspired pattern in black, white and gold makes this saya unique. Both the kojiri (end), kurigata, and koiguchi (mouthpiece) are reinforced with cow horn, which provides both elegance and durability.

Tsuba, the Heart of the Sword:
The decorative tsuba is a particular highlight. Crafted from a mix of brass and copper alloy, with intricate chain link patterns in multiple metal tones that evoke armor details from a bygone era. This tsuba is not just a protection, it is a work of art in itself, giving the sword an aura of both war and artistic beauty.
