Flow is a premium katana built around movement, contrast and technical balance. It combines advanced traditional three-piece sanmai construction with modern aesthetics in a bold, artistic saya.
The deep blue and organic structure of the saya creates a vivid expression, like water flowing through stone. At the same time, the blade carries a harmonious line where core and outer layer meet in a subtle, controlled flow.
Flow is part of our Premium Collection and is aimed at collectors who are looking for both advanced construction and visual identity.
Blade
The blade is built in a three-part construction (sanmai) with Bohi:
-Hard T10 inner layer
-Folded steel outer layer
This design provides a combination of:
-High edge retention
-Toughness and flexibility in the back
-Structural stability throughout the blade
The outer layer (folded steel) shows a vivid, subtle layer expression, while the core (T-10) stands out through a clear hardening line. The blade is differentially hardened and polished in several stages to create depth and contrast between the zones.
This is a technically advanced design that places Flow in the Premium segment.
Tsuba + Tsuka
The tsuba and fittings are made of brass and richly decorated with a wave and movement motif that reinforces the sword's name. The patinated silver surface is combined with warmer details around the habaki and seppa, creating depth and contrast.
The tsuka has a wooden core covered in genuine samegawa and is wrapped in black ito in classic hineri-maki which contributes to both grip and traditional aesthetics.
Fittings are carefully curated and provide a weight that matches the technical level of the blade.
Saya
The Saya is made of wood with an artistic, organic texture in blue and earthy tones. The finish is deep and vibrant, making each piece unique in expression.
Koiguchi, kurigata and kojiri are made of horn , which provides increased durability and a traditional finish.
The sageo is black and tied in a classic style, which balances the colorful structure of the saya.
