Tsuru is an elegant and symbolic katana inspired by the Japanese crane, a symbol of longevity, dignity and balance. The sword combines traditional craftsmanship with visual details in gold, silver and black, where the hand-painted saya with flying cranes creates a calm yet powerful expression. This is a katana for collectors who appreciate aesthetics, symbolism and classic workmanship.
Blade
The blade is made of folded steel and has undergone repeated folding during the forging process . Each fold refines the structure of the steel, reduces impurities and builds up a complex layer-on-layer pattern that becomes visible in the blade's surface. This is a time-consuming craft that requires high precision and experience, and is a clear marker of a sword in the higher quality class.
The blade also features a wavy hamon pattern , created through advanced clay hardening. The hamon runs organically along the edge, providing both visual character and functional hardening structure. The blade's polish is even and clear, with good contrast between the hamon and blade body, giving a traditional Japanese look.
Tsuba + Tsuka
The tsuba and other fittings are made of copper , with detailed motifs that harmonize with the sword's classic theme.
The tsuka is wrapped in black ito over white samegawa (stingray leather), providing a stable grip and a timeless expression. The whole balances function and aesthetics in a way that is suitable for both display and gentle handling.
Saya
The Saya is black lacquered and hand decorated with golden crane motifs , complemented by subtle red details.
Enhanced details include horn inlays on the koiguchi, kurigata and kojiri , which both enhance durability and provide an exclusive, traditional finish. The sageon is black and knotted in a classic style.
