Webfall Tanto - Folded Steel with Brass Fittings

Webfall Tanto is a short sword with folded steel and a deep red/blue finish from a “baked blue” process that gives the blade a vibrant, changing expression. The whole is matched by an exclusive saya in lacquered wood with a distinct “web/stone” pattern and kurigata in exclusive horn that elevates the feeling of premium.

The blade is made of industrial folded steel, where several layers of steel are joined together to create the characteristic wave-shaped structure. The layer structure is metallurgically consistent and gives the blade its vibrant pattern, not a superficial etching.

The steel is oil-quenched to achieve a uniform and stable hardening throughout the blade. This provides a balanced combination of strength and durability, while the visual layer structure clearly appears in the polish.
