The handle is wrapped with genuine Stingray leather (samegawa) for optimal grip, and it is full tang, meaning the blade goes all the way through the handle for maximum stability and durability.

The included saya (scabbard) is made of solid wood, lacquered with a deep gloss and hand-engraved with a traditional dragon motif that symbolizes strength and wisdom.

The tsuba and other fittings are intricately crafted in brass, with traditional wave motifs that represent the power of the elements of nature and invite both respect and awe.
